I really need to get our carpets cleaned and have found a lot of coupons for different companies. The prices look like they vary a lot for the same services. Is there any difference or does everyone have the same tools and will do the same job? Anybody have experience or advice to share on this? Any good companies in Austin, TX?

I used to have a carpet-cleaning business. Believe me, they are not all the same.
First of all — those truck-mounted units are worthless. Don’t waste your money.
A portable (like the kind they rent at the supermarket) is the best, Most carpet-cleaners don’t use the portable units anymore because they are more trouble.
I suggest you rent a portable unit from the supermarket or the hardware store and do the job yourself. You will be amazed at the filth that comes out!
