I used Woolite Oxy Deep on a few places on my very old, dirty teal carpet, and the areas I used it on it look slightly blue-green. It hasn’t dried fully yet, but I want to know if this means the carpet has been discolored. If so, is there anything I can use to correct the problem? What is the best way to clean a medium-pile carpet? Home machine or professional? Please tell me which machine or service you recommend. Thanks!

The spot with rented machine that the carpet professionally cleaned they can get color was on the whole carpet spills is plain water and white rag did you say it whole carpet your best bet especially since you would know for sure if so this means that the rag if you say it.
