My apartment is offering me free carpet cleaning or a $50 gas card to renew my lease, but I can’t decide which one.
I walk to work but I can always use the gas, but I could use the carpet cleaning as well. Which one?
My carpet isn’t that bad, and I can probably do it myself for like $30. I’ve lived here a year. My friend says my carpet stinks, but he says everything stinks so I’m not sure if I believe him.

my apartment is located indoors. The unit was leaking for sometime before I even realized that it was occuring (w/i the past 4-5 weeks). The carpet was saturated and now the landlord is willing to have the carpet cleaned but not replaced. Will just having them professionally cleaned kill and prevent mold growth?
So if the padding is wet and there’s mold growth.. there’s really no reason to have it cleaned correct?
