We live in San Diego and need our carpets cleaned DESPERATELY. I have not heard great things about the mainstream companies (Stanley Steemer, etc..)

Any ideas that are still safe for a toddler to climb around on afterwards?

my apartment is located indoors. The unit was leaking for sometime before I even realized that it was occuring (w/i the past 4-5 weeks). The carpet was saturated and now the landlord is willing to have the carpet cleaned but not replaced. Will just having them professionally cleaned kill and prevent mold growth?
So if the padding is wet and there’s mold growth.. there’s really no reason to have it cleaned correct?

I am thinking about renting a Carpet Cleaner. I will send out flyers to neighbors to get business. I do not know how much I can charge for it. I know that it takes a couple hours to do. What will you pay for Carpet cleaning? I am 18 years old, paying my way through college.
