I had my carpet steam cleaned today. The smell of the cleaning product was quite strong. About an hour or so after the guy left, my carbon monoxide alarm sounded. No one has any symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. I’ve vented the house and the alarm no longer sounds.
Does anyone know whether the carpet cleaning product could have caused a false alarm?

I asked different companies and buy zetaclear
found the price varied from $49 to $150. I am so confused. One company said that steam cleaning didn’t include the chemical liquid and only deep cleaning did. I have no idea about what a normal carpet cleaning process. I don’t want to be rip off.
